Eric Splan, Ph.D.
Eric Splan joined the IFSN lab as a postdoctoral researcher in 2021. He received his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and his Ph.D. from the University of Delaware. He is broadly interested in examining the generalizability of social cognitive phenomena. Specifically, Eric is interested in understanding how stereotyping and impression formation processes vary across settings, individuals, and outcomes to better understand when and how these processes influence behavior in real-world contexts. Eric’s hobbies outside of the lab include baking, brewing, bad puns, and arguing about the validity of sports statistics. Eric took a data science job at a pharmaceutical company where he works on healthcare equity.
