Richa Gautam
Richa is a Unidel Distinguished Graduate Scholar interested broadly in intergroup action. She uses natural language processing methods to investigate discriminatory speech, and computational and neuroimaging methods to investigate discriminatory decision-making. Her work has investigated trust and risk in human-AI interactions, perceptions of and discrimination towards people of different social statuses, and biased speech on social media. Her dissertation investigates how status differences conveyed via political speech affect the speaker's influence on people of different political ideologies. In her free time, Richa likes to cook, read, and play with her cats. Expected Graduation 2026.
